Power and site gear for jobs that cannot slip
Fremont Temporary Power sets up the first electrical service on construction sites across southern Alameda County and the Tri-Valley, north into Contra Costa County at San Ramon and Concord, and through Santa Clara County from Palo Alto and Milpitas down to San Jose and Campbell. A raw lot needs a metered pole before the trades can plug in, and we handle the whole sequence: sizing, the permit, the utility request, the pole set, inspection and removal. Our electricians hold a California C-10 license.
Power is usually the first call, but rarely the last. A warehouse shell waiting on its switchgear may need diesel generator rental for a few months. A tract phase with open lots needs solar camera trailers on the gate. A Tri-Valley trailer in August needs portable spot cooling, and a midnight slab pour needs towable work lights.
We work mostly for general contractors, electrical subs, tract builders and facility managers. Most of the work is industrial and commercial: tilt-up warehouses, data center and lab fit-outs, apartments near BART and phased housing. The crew that quotes the job sets the equipment and takes it out at the end, and the office trailer gets online through bonded cellular site internet the same week.
- 100A to 400A temporary services, single and three-phase
- We file the permit and the utility paperwork and meet the inspector
- Towable diesels sized from 20kW past 500kW
- Light towers, camera trailers, site WiFi and spot coolers
- Crews out Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm

Six rentals for a working jobsite
Every service below is run by our own crew from Fremont: temp pole installation, construction internet, surveillance cameras, generator rental, light tower rental and portable AC rental. Most jobs use two or three of them at once, and one call sets up all of it.
Metered 100A to 400A construction services, single or three-phase, with the city permit, the PG&E request and the final pull handled by one crew.
Bonded LTE and 5G routers or satellite kits with mesh WiFi across the pad, set up in a day and billed month to month.
Towable solar camera units, plus cameras fixed to poles or steel, that push alerts and progress frames to your phone, rented by the month.
Towable diesel units from 20kW past 500kW, plus small gas units, with fuel runs, cable and distribution sized to your actual load.
LED light towers on diesel or solar, balloon lights and interior string lighting for night shifts, early pours and winter afternoons.
One to five ton spot coolers, ducted and evaporative units, and heaters for the winter months for trailers, curing rooms and electrical rooms.
Why East Bay builders call us first
Schedules on industrial and housing jobs are set months ahead, and power is usually on the critical path. Our quote carries an honest date for the meter release, and if the utility cannot meet the start date, we bring a generator so the crew starts anyway. One crew, one invoice and one phone number cover every piece of gear on the site.
- Licensed C-10 electricians set and wire every pole
- We file the permit and the utility request the week you sign
- Generators can bridge the gap until the meter is released
- Equipment is sized from your actual load list
- Written quotes that list permit, install, rent and removal
- Early starts and night work when the pour schedule needs it
Typical costs for East Bay temp power
Every quote depends on amperage, distance to the utility and how long the job runs. These are the ranges most jobs land in:
- Temp pole install, 100A to 200A single-phase: $1,800 to $4,500
- Three-phase 400A service: $6,000 to $14,000 and up
- Generators: 20 to 45kW about $500 to $1,200 a week, 100 to 150kW about $1,500 to $3,000 a week, fuel extra
- Light towers rent near $350 to $700 weekly, and spot coolers $250 to $700
- Construction internet $250 to $700 a month; camera trailers $450 to $1,200 a month
Utility fees are billed by PG&E, Silicon Valley Power or City of Palo Alto Utilities, not by us. Pole rent after install usually runs $150 to $400 a month. Generators of 300kW and larger are priced per job.
From order to live power
Step 1
Site walk and load list
We look at the lot, find the nearest utility source and go through the equipment the crews will run. That sets the amperage, phase and pole location.
Step 2
Permit and utility request
We file the electrical permit with the city, or with Alameda, Contra Costa or Santa Clara County where the parcel is unincorporated, and send the service request to PG&E. Santa Clara and Palo Alto run their own utilities, so there it goes to Silicon Valley Power or CPAU.
Step 3
Pole set and inspection
Our crew sets the pole, meter base, panel and ground rods in one day, then meets the inspector. The utility releases the meter after the tag is signed.
Step 4
Rent, service and removal
The pole stays up as long as the job needs it. After the building’s own service is energized, we order the disconnect and pull everything out.
Common questions about temp power
How long until my Fremont site has power?
Two to four weeks from the signed order is typical. Most of that is permit review and the PG&E schedule. The install itself takes one day.
What size service does my job need?
Small homes and remodels often run on 100A. Larger homes and small commercial jobs use 200A. Hoists, cranes and welders usually call for 400A three-phase.
Do you pull the electrical permit?
Yes. We file with the City of Fremont or the right city or county office, book the inspection and handle any corrections.
Can I rent a generator until the meter is released?
Yes. We size a towable unit to the early loads, deliver fuel on a schedule and stop the rental once the pole is energized.
Do you work outside Fremont?
Yes. We cover the Tri-Valley, Contra Costa County out to San Ramon and Concord, the cities north toward San Leandro and Castro Valley, and south through Milpitas and Santa Clara to San Jose, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Cupertino and Campbell.
What are your hours?
Crews run Monday through Saturday from 7am to 7pm. Call 510-961-6012 to schedule a site walk.
